In the morning we pick you up at your hotel in Saigon by optional private transfer and take you to Can Tho or Cai Be. You board your wooden river cruise vessel around noon. After a refreshing welcome drink we show you our on-board facilities and your cosy cabin. As lunch is served, the boat starts cruising. Sit back and watch the fantastic scenery and the daily life of the Mekong people.
In the afternoon you can disembark for a guided leisurely stroll through a village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the friendly locals and taste the local produce and fruits.
Get back on board and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck as the sun sets over the magnificent water landscape of the Mekong river. The cruise boat will anchor for the night. The day ends with a delicious on-board dinner. You stay overnight on board your floating hotel in the Mekong Delta.
If you book this tour on our Gecko Eyes house boat, you will visit the forest of Xeo Quyt on the first day. During the Vietnam war this jungle was the headquarters of the local partisans. My husband & l did a 2 night, 3 day cruise & we thoroughly enjoyed it. We found the staff very friendly & helpful. The food was great & we were given the opportunity to try new things, which we may not have ordered in a restaurant. It was a nice relaxing couple of days. The 4 hr trip from HCMC was long, but we did have 2 stops along the way. On the first day after lunch we docked & went for a walk around a local village. The second day we went for a local san pan ride & visited a floating market. We were able to buy a vietnamese coffee from one of the local vendors on the river. That afternoon we walked around another village & had afternoon tea served by a local family. I would be happy to recommend Mekong Eyes, but l think if your travel plans would permit you to do the 2 night cruise, it is better as there is a lot of travelling to & from the cruise. The only negative for the whole trip, was the lunch on our return journey, which is included in the price. A group of 8 were on the return journey & the food was rubbish & wasn't eaten by any of us. This was very disappointing after all the beautiful food we were served on board.

Me and my daughter cruised from Cai Be and ended in Can Tho. The trip was fantastic. The crew were extremely attentive, our guide Cate was very kind. The food was good, the cabin excellent. There was a nice mixture of chilling on deck watching the world go by, and arranged tours of villages and markets which were interesting and no stress. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic! As a tour much better than Halong Bay as not as formulaic or contrived. Didn't feel like we were being herded like cattle. Staff were wonderful. Land trips very interesting, guides excellent. Cooking class was fantastic. Running out of superlatives here...... Only 3 of us cooking class and we had a ball with the gorgeous Hen. We loved every bit of our 3 day cruise.

We left 3 days on this boat for a cruise on the Mekong. This boat is beautiful, the crew serious and we had a good time on this boat. Bike tours are offered. The meals are delicious and the cabin is pretty. Of course the bathroom is equipped with a shower but not as we enter it but it is very easy to use. I spent my birthday on the boat and the crew was kind enough to offer me flowers. A cruise that changes from Halong Bay and much less touristy

Hi, Seems like a good tour. 1. What is the normal age group? 2, Can you buy drinks on board? 3. The single supplement at US$210 seems dear? no discounts available? makes the tripa bit expensive 4. Shower/tiolet in room? Thanks Brooke

When will my reservation be firmly confirmed?
Answered by admin | 29 Aug 2019
Thank you so much. As soon as accepting to book the services with us, you have to pay the deposit for the services in the mean time we'll make provisional reservation for you. Once we received your deposit notification, we'll make firm reservation for your services straightaway - this mean your reservation is firmly confirmed. When all of the services are reserved successfully, we will update to you and send you other useful information such as travel guide, travel tips,... If the services were fully booked (maybe booked by someone else while booking is under processed because some tour operators don't allow blocking policy), we will inform you and suggest similar options. In case you no longer want to book these alternatives, we will refund all of the deposit amount.
